I have an old computer tower that bit the dust last year. It has been sitting in my closet all this time, not sure what to do with it. I made sure all the data on the tower was deleted and I don’t think it can be repaired. I was looking online and I saw there are numerous companies that do recycle old electronics. I am very conscious of our environment and I thought what great programs for going green with old gadgets. The stuff inside all these systems are very toxic to us and the earth, so saving our environment by not putting these old electronics in our landfills is essential. Some companies will even give you money, if they can restore them and give the items back to schools or people who need a hand. If the computers, cell phones, etc. are not salvageable, then they are disposed of responsibly. The Environmental Protection Agency has strict guidelines to follow for disposing of electronic waste. I can now feel good about getting rid of my obsolete computer tower.
