I feel it is up to each person to help protect our environment and I am doing my part in many way's. I recycle and recently I had my old furnace and air conditioner removed and high efficient units installed. Not only will these new heating and air conditioning units save electricity and natural gas thus creating less pollution for the environment but by installing the pair last fall I now qualify for energy tax rebates totaling over 1500 dollars. that is sweet. I have seen the savings already in lower monthly gas bills and lower electric bills. I also had a thermostat installed that was made to work in conjunction with the furnace and air conditioner to optimize how they function. While this total package cost over eight grand I have the comfort of knowing I am helping the environment by using less power and polluting less. I especially like the new control unit. It is basically a computer wired into each unit that allows me to monitor how the furnace and air conditioner are functioning. If the air filter begin's to become dirty the unit gives me this info and also lets me monitor the level of freon in the air conditioner.
