Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a great time last night. There is a lot of build up until the clock strikes twelve but it was all worth it. Along with trying to get back in shape, a mini resolution of mine is to help the environment more then I do normally. For the first thing, I’m going to start recycling. I always did, up until living in the complex I do now where for whatever reason has no place for recycling. It just all goes down the trash shoot. Since there is no free electricity here, I have been working hard to keep the heater off.
The good thing about winter is no matter how cold it gets we can always put on more layers of clothing. In the heat, there are only so many pieces to take off. At night, I’ve been walking around like a mummy, wrapped in my favorite flannel blanket instead of turning the heater on. The whole situation reminds me of growing up. I always had the warmest bed because my mom didn’t like to use the heater a lot either. This is my first step to better going green in 2010. It is great to see how many people are helping to make a cleaner environment.
