With so many people looking for new way to power their homes photovoltaic cells are becoming more and more popular. I was talking to a friend of mine who studied physics in college and he was explaining to me how photovoltaic cells work. He mentioned that there are some materials which give off free electrons after being exposed to sunlight and photovoltaic cells are made out of these materials. Once electrons become free we can “channel” them into a stream which creates electricity. While he was explaining the photovoltaic cells process to me I just couldn’t help to feel that bit by bit humanity is discovering all the little secrets of the universe and that all the world’s magic will eventually be our knowledge. I mean, if my buddy didn’t explain to me how photovoltaic cells work and I witnessed electricity being created through photovoltaic cells it would totally look like witchcraft. Nevertheless, I am very happy to know there are some really smart people out there working to make our world a better place for us and for future generations. I can’t wait for the day that my house can be completely powered by the power rays of the sun and truly live the magic of photovoltaic cells.
