environment The State of the Union Address is always a speech to create hope. It is sort of like that before the game, locker room monologue coaches give before their team heads out to the playoffs. I was left feeling better about how the economy is going. Obama is a definite master of oral word. One of the most exciting issues he touched on was working towards a cleaner environment. On multiple occasions he mentioned how this country needs to start building a greener infrastructure, comparing the steps China has been taking to better their environment.

There were also a couple minutes about building bullet trains. Apparently, Obama is kicking off the build of one such project in Florida today. The rest of the developed world uses this kind of fast transportation to cut down on traffic and travel costs. It is about time America got on board with something better then standard rail. There was supposed to be legislation in California to build a bullet train from LA to San Fran. but I never heard how that turned out. More jobs, a cleaner environment and efficiency were all positive notes in Obama’s address last night.
