It is that time of year again to pay Uncle Sam and look for a new place to live. With the lease up at our apartment in the coming weeks I’ve started browsing the classifieds and this Sunday will be driving around looking for, “For Rent” signs. Best case scenario, the three of us find a 3 bedroom house nearby. This is a great time to look because it seems like every residential corner has at least one place up for lease. Living in Southern California, there is a higher degree of homes with solar panels, at least from my experience. It would be so cool to find a rental sporting solar panels. This is the wave of the future. An owner would have no problem finding tenants if solar panels sat on the roof. One of the month’s most annoying bills is electricity.
Free electricity or a slashed monthly bill would allow a landlord to raise their rent quickly and with just cause. With our home hunt just beginning I’m going to look to the roof for solar panels before previewing each possibility.
