I would bet anything this photo was taken somewhere in Arizona because of the abundant sunshine and the turquoise sky. Of all the places in the US, this state is perfect for generating free electricity using solar panels and it can be done on a micro scale at home or a large scale like some of the public utilities are starting to do in the sunshine capitol of the US. It's a rare day when we have a cloud cover and I know how useful the sunshine is here.
I've been solar cooking for years and during January, we experienced too much cloud cover to use my solar cookers. We had to do our cooking inside using the electric stove, and when we got our electricity bill in February, we all about croaked to see how much that indoor cooking actually cost us. So from now on, I'm planning my solar cooking days around the weather a little more carefully. When we have a long streak of sunny weather, I'm going to cook using sunshine which is free electricity basically, and freeze it for later consumption.
