Hydrogen Technology in 07 BMW 7 Series

technology, going greenBelieve it or not, BMW has been a leader in alternative energy technology for years now. Going green may have picked up some steam in the past five years but this German car company has been working on hydroelectric technology for a long time. I recall watching a video where Jay Leno explores the Hydrogen powered BMW 7 series seen in the video below. He points out it is an... Read More

Is Hydrogen Power the Next Big Going Green Movement

going green, solar panelsThe auto manufacturing world is in a state of going green flux right now as companies try to figure out what fuel source will be the next best thing to wean off our world’s dependency on fossil fuel. Some think bio-diesel will be it, others look to electric power from lithium ion batteries, some think solar panels will be the answer and some are working on hydrogen fueled... Read More

Going Green Will Lead to Much Quieter Streets

environment, going green It is not going to be too long before living next to a busy street or freeway won’t be such a bad thing. With the whole going green movement there really isn’t a major auto manufacturer who isn’t helping to save the environment and keep drivers away from expensive gas stations (as much) with a hybrid, electric, solar or in the case of the video featuring Jay Leno below... Getting Paid With Solar Panels

solar panels, global warming

A friend of mine was telling me last week about the huge impact that solar panels can have in the environment at large. When I was small child my parents bought a water heater made out of solar panels and to me it was just pure magic how these solar panels could turn sunlight into energy. Now I hear about people using solar panels for pretty much everything in the home. My... Read More

Going green is really easy for me!

going green, global warmingI have really been getting into going green lately, as I realize that each and everyone of us needs to do our parts in order to help prevent the onset of global warming. These days they make it really easy if you are looking to start going green by just adding some simple things to your daily routine. For me, I like to assure that I recycle everything that I possible can,... Read More

We Can’t Forget About Global Warming

global warming, going greenWhen I was catching up on the news this morning I came across an article from the UK talking about how the public is beginning to rate Global Warming as less of a major issue. I couldn’t believe this because the poll used to come to this conclusion was stating the blatant fact people are losing a interest in Global Warming. Not even looking at the science to back it up, I... Read More

Going green with remodeling

going green, environmentI was reading an article on home remodeling and was so excited to read about the vast selection of going green materials that are available now for floors, cabinets and countertops. I already knew about some going green flooring, woods that come from a managed forest to bamboo. My neighbor put in bamboo flooring last year in their kitchen. It is a gorgeous and durable wood... Going green in our everyday life

environment

There is going to be a United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen, this December. Essentially, the industrialized countries will try to agree on reducing emissions on greenhouse gasses. Also are other countries willing to start limiting their emissions and how is all of this going to be managed and financed. These are some huge questions and problems to be... Read More

Global Warming Is Very Real To Those Living In The Indian Ocean

global warmingI recently read an article on the subject of global warming. According to what I have read government ministers in countries such as the Maldives and Sri Lanka are planning to host a cabinet meeting underwater to raise awareness of global warming. These countries are comprised of low-lying coral islands in the Indian Ocean. The fear is that they could be completely... Read More

Free Electricity at the Gym!

free electricity, technology

It is possible to workout at the gym and power it with free electricity at the same time! There is a company right now that is making this possible. It all has to do with energy-generating equipment. The premise is to use the power generated by the gym members while they use the treadmill, bikes or elliptical machines. This company will harness that energy and put free... Read More

Going Green Is This Generation's Mandate for the Future

going green, environmentA few weeks ago I presented solar cooking at the Prescott Valley Energy Fair and we had a great time. I've been solar cooking for 10 years now and since I'm an expert at it and believe 100% that we need to save the environment from our heavy carbon footprint, it's the least I can do to help others with going green by simply using the sun to cook food.

It as a perfect day... Read More

Going Green with a Tankless Water Heater

going green, environment In my last post called Going Green Around the Home I attached a video which highlighted some practices on how to save the environment while also lowering a home’s energy usage. There was one segment of the video which talked about water heaters and how it can be wasteful to heat water way up and then not use it all. Many hot water heaters create many gallons of hot water... Going Green Around the Home

going green At the very least, going green is a great way to cut down on monthly bills. Personally going green is about more then oneself but in the end many of us are more apt to make attempts to conserve when we see the difference on the bottom line. The video clip below gives some great tips on going green at home. Some of them call for upgrades like a programmable thermostat or... Read More
